Our Story
HOW IT ALL BEGAN
From the health food store to the manufacturer
Discover the most important milestones in the history of Beltane.
Until today, Beltane is a modest but complete industry grown up. From the initial idea to the recipe development, quality management, product management, production, filling, packaging, and distribution – all of the steps take place here in Krumbach.
2024
The Beltane Team grows
The year-on-year at the end of operational vertical tubular bag machine is in constant operation, and contributes significantly to the upward trend in 2024.
In the same train our Team to grow in the first half of the year and we are excited about some new colleagues in the production.
Beltane herbs, salt, vegetable broth, and vegetables are the basis of the exchange into the cork glass, a fresh and transparent look.

2023
Difficult Times

2022
A refreshing new appearance
A complete retread at Beltane Fix for salad. Not only externally, have changed the seasonings, the recipes have been revised; this time, all are with no added sugar. With six new varieties, we start in the spring.

The year of product development

And a new series: Beltane Broths & salts
A long-cherished wish is to be implemented. Beltane herbs, salt, vegetable broth, and salt-free vegetable base of root vegetables enrich the range. The new look in black cork glass with the charming refill pack are a real eye-catcher!
2020
Elias takes interest in the company,
Directly in the following year, Elias takes over as managing partner shares in the company. The investments go further in high-speed and we can already take place in January our mixing room together with a weighing system and a spice mixer is in operation. 2019
Filling with a box bag machine

Elias expanded the production – now, as a managing Director

2018
New Outfit for Beltane BioFix
After around 10 years, it is time for a relaunch! We say goodbye to our first Beltane Biofix Design and look forward to the colorful and fresh new appearance.
2017
Elias goes for Beltane
As a trained technician Elias joins the company and starts the internal quality management. In months of work on a small scale Elias prepares the work processes, the hygiene requirements, the documentation and the equipment of Beltane on the first IFS Global markets Food certification. With Success!
2014
Elias as a Trainee
Elias comes in for a year in the company, in order to complete his career year for training on food processing technician. In the 12 months, he works through the whole operation and the first plans for an extension of the in-house production.
2013
We pack a semi-automated
For our Biofix packs, the first of packaging is constructed machine and put into operation. A real milestone, and without staff reductions possible, since many of the new tasks. We are very happy with that. Effectiveness – Team complete!

2012
Beltane milk rice and Prima Pasta
Five varieties of rice pudding with properly dried fruits and nuts, and three varieties of Spaghetti plus seasoning mix and tomato paste go into the trade. These two series were not able to hold on to, unfortunately, and have left the Beltane range after two years. However, consumers are always asking for the products. Kind of a shame these ideas with high quality ingredients.
2011
Moving to Krumbach
After the renovation and conversion of the former super market, we move to the town of Krumbach in the new hall. At the beginning we had no doors in offices, but the entire Team is only a call away!

2010
Beltane is growing
Beltane Grill&Wok and Beltane Fix for salad – The perfect Team for the barbecue party. The two newly developed product lines in the trade. The building in Neuburg an der Donau is to small and we take the opportunity to purchase a building in the town of Krumbach (Schwaben).
2008
Biofach in Nuremberg, Germany
The first public appearance at the BioFach in Nuremberg, arouses much interest, and the tasting of enthusiastic visitors to the fair. Next, we proceed with the production for the German and Dutch market. In the summer of the sale to the wholesaler starts, and thus Beltane Biofix celebrates its commercial premiere.

2007
Founding Beltane Naturkost GmbH
Managing partner, Simone, and Elmar Schleker, in equal Parts. In The Start Range: Ten Varieties Beltane Biofix. The first Team consists of a staff of four in a mini-job in rented premises in Neuburg an der Kammel. We refer to the mixtures, ready-to-bagged by a German spice mill.
2006
The Foundation of our production operation
The cooperation with the licensee ends and we are planning for the Startup in its own production plant. It goes to the development of formulations for the mixtures and the packaging design. Suppliers can be searched and found and, finally, the founding of the way.

2005
A patents cooking idea
Seasoning in a two-steps – once during Frying, then when Cooking. This classification of spices for Beltane Biofix receives a method patent. We are very proud of it and assign licenses to the production to a larger manufacturer.
2000
Alt-Helps-Young
On the recommendation of a consultant from the Alt-Help-Young-club, the first contact with a Business Angel. With this competence, in the Background, the idea takes shape. The active economic senior accompany us until today, with friendship, interest and visited us every year.
1998
Recipe N°1
The first recipe idea for Indian Red lentils with spices is literally still in its infancy. Elias helps very interested in the sample filling.
1996
First production
The cheese salad and fresh cheese preparations, found daily more enthusiastic customers. Amazing how many Krumbacher cheese salad for the first visit of the Excursion has seduced. The was also really tasty.

1994
The opening of the Excursion
Beltane starts as a health food store! 40 m2 with wooden shelves from floor to ceiling of 2,000 items, there is a well stocked fresh shelving and a bulging cheese counter, crammed into the 10 years of loading time.
1992
First steps of Beltane
Elmar developed the first Beltane product for sales and distribution in a natural catalog: Beltane tooth powder. Finely ground in a Zentrofan mill with peppermint and sage.
